They changed the flow from the novel. In the novel the priest is a lot more creepy when he's speaking privately while Asha is unconscious and almost kisses her (it's fine if they're going more PG I guess) and his holy power isn't ultimately the power that wakes her up, it was Carlisle's holy power he poured into her over the days; so when the priest starts she was already in a conscious state but keeps her eyes closed and hears all his creepy words and confession of guilt. When she gets up she confirms with Carlisle that the priest is a bytch and wants revenge. She also realizes on her own Carlisle was by her side and healed her bc she felt his presence through the holy power as well as heard his cries for her to come back to him. While I'm grateful for this adaptation I do believe for a long time now they've done a great disservice to the emotional range of both Asha and Carlise. That's just imo. It hurts a lil
