Shortly after Tia's 18th birthday, she got engaged to Perez, tho it was a contractual marriage bcs her grandpa were sort of banned from entering the imperial city by the emperor bcs he opposed the marriage between Larane and the prince. Grandpa was so mad bcs Larane's parents wanted her to marry the first prince, it was also the empress' doing who is the cousin of Larane's mom and at that time she already have a boyfriend and Tia knows him. So, since grandpa is the coolest, he literally pulled out all of Lombardi's businesses and stopped all the on going construction handled by Lombardi Construction in the Imperial city, which affected the city greatly and the emperor was condemned by the citizens 😂
After that, Tia, Perez, grandpa, the twins, aunt and even Tia's dad helped Larane to ran away or elope with her bf to the east which is the guy's family's territory. (I cried sm reading this arc tbh 🥲)
