Right? It looked like the doctor was keeping tabs on her, he probably told walter to leave her the flowers while she's asleep. Or maybe she was supposed to be one of his targets but then she made an unexpected move and now he's saying that he's raising her (in his own twisted sense of doing it) to become a better woman when she grows.
