I honestly dont feel any emphaty people like Mrs. Ettman who claim they do bad things out of love. From the very beginning, she wasn’t doing it for her son — it was all for herself. Social status and the privileges that come with it have always mattered more to her than her son's happiness. On top of that, she’s so insecure that she even feels threatened by someone like Leila — a smart, independent woman who stands on her own feet. It’s truly heartbreaking that Leila might not be able to continue her education.
