I argued someone in a bl manhwa comments a few days ago some guys are talking about aren't people supposed to be homophobic whose religions doesn't support. And that guy try to insult me because I said I don't support Lgbt myself beacuse of my religion but I respect who supports them and I have close friends who are lezbian and we get along well and homophobic is the name given to people who feel hatred towards homosexuals so I am not homophobic, I just don't prefer to support myself but I respect it. And she/he respond me like " You do not support LGBT and you come here to read yaoi and hide your religion to hide your own fetishes. You do not show respect, you objectify and act like your favorite drama character. You treat real LGBT individuals as second citizens and make up imaginary friends. You are disgusting. You don't respect so don't expect respect from me eihter " omg I argued with her/him at 3 am and I was shaking my hands with anger. We both texted paragraphs. I felt mentally collapsed after this incident.
@esryzc I agree with them and homophobia means fear or distain against gay people, some people forget the second part of the definition so it suits them. If you are homophobic and read/watch yaoi then you are a fetishizer, so you're ok with fake gay relationships but not real ones? That doesn't make any sense, I'm bi so, fear me
@esryzc you are in the right. Many people read BL and GL, by curiosity or liking. As long as you respect them, you do not need to wear a LGBT flag, you accept them, that is enough, don't let them bully you saying you are a fetishizer. You know it is not a fetish if you read BL, GL, straight and anything you find interesing, it is only fetish if it's the only thing you read or your most read thing. All you said was that you respect those in LGBTQ, and that's great! So it's best that you ignore them to spare your precious time and sanity. @OP yeah but we don't know how she'd react when that friend gets into a relationship, saying that is like saying "I can't be racist I have black friends" that doesn't strip you from being homophobic and or racist. When did I sexualise gay men? I'm also still a woman
@BiNShy that doesn't make sense you don't know me in real life if you don't know how I'd react so don't approach with prejudice . And my friend broke up with her girlfriend because She got scared and left cause her ex offered to do something physical so yes my friend have been in realitionship before and I reacted like what should a friend do
