@Bu2fulDisaster Honestly, that's not it at all. The ml in this story is typical the ml in most of these stories. Whether the ml grew up in a healthy environment or not, these authors keep writing the mls as the same expressionless, cold, detached, arrogant, entitled, forceful, and emotionally immature character.
Also, if you look in stories where the fl grows up in horrible family situations/environments, even they have more sense than the typical ml. So, it really has nothing to do with the environment the characters grew up in. The authors have a cliche way that they write male and female characters.
