1. TJ doesn’t need Ian in the gang because of some tactical buIlshіt. He needs him because he loves him.
2. Let’s not forget that TJ’s first kill wasn’t with a weapon. He did it with his bare hands.
3. Jason, their boss, always saw Ian as nothing more than an addict. Even later, he tried to get rid of him, send him away like dead weight. It was TJ he wanted to keep.
4. And honestly, if you think praising Ian means you have to rewrite the story or pretend TJ is just some guy with knives, you clearly missed the whole narrative. Ian is a brilliant, layered character but that doesn’t happen at the expense of TJ’s strength, loyalty, or complexity. You can acknowledge one without erasing the other.
