I like the more serious portrayal in the webnovel because it highlights the anxiety built up from Leon being unconscious and her having to go through all that alone and endure childbearing alone, which was a first time for her. I felt bad. I do love how Leon acknowledges this and makes an active attempt to ease her concerns by reassuring her that she won't go through it alone again or ever.
