While the eldest child may get more privileges, depending on their family, they bear far more responsibility than the privileges they enjoy. They are like a second parent to rest of the children.

<span class="mention" data-user-id="yDENBP42">@RecklessSavage</span> it depends on the family, growing up my older brother was actually enjoying much more freedom than me, i had to take care of my younger sibling while he was going around having fun with his friends, and most decisions that affected us both were more likely to go to his liking, this is not to fault my parents they really tried to be fair but i realised my older brother knew how be just irresponsible enough to not be scolded and to avoid household responsibilities
