Since I feel like writing an essay, here's a lil detailed spoilers for the next events:

— Something huge will happen while Dane is accompanying the pregnant lady in the hospital (aside from the "real father" coming to the hospital to claim the lady and the baby, which happens to be Grayson's younger alpha sister).
— The firefighters on duty respond to a huge fire, one of the several houses burning is Dane's apartment but none of them knows. The only one who knows that Dane's house is on fire and Darling is inside is Grayson. He knows that even if the others know, they wouldn't risk their life to save Darling 'cause it was already too late and too risky (only Dane is capable of doing such risky things). Grayson himself sees no point in saving animals and swears he will never do it. But it was Dane's Darling 🥹, so Grayson thinks he has to save it. He knows it is crazy and stupid to do so 'cause it's really dangerous and the cat might be dead already, but he didn't want Darling to die 'cause he knows the cat meant so much to Dane. (Remember he's the one who pointed to Dane last chapter that he wasn't alone 'cause he has Darling). Grayson then rushes inside while the others think he is causing trouble again and nobody followed him inside 'cause it is dangerous. Just imagine how hard it is to find and chase after a traumatized, deaf and blind cat inside a burning house. The whole time, Grayson is calling her name, cursing and contemplating on why he's even trying to save it LOL. Grayson did his best to search, chase, protect Darling with his own body. He lends the cat his helmet with oxygen so Grayson's hair is partially burned and his face covered in soot. The medic even commented that some brave hero lent his life to Darling while pointing to the helmet.
— Grayson and Dane's conversation after that was so gut-wrenching and heartwarming. Dane thanks him, and Grayson confessed that he was afraid that Dane might hate him if he let Darling die. He narrates what he felt and experienced during the rescue, while still trembling. Dane explained to him that what he was feeling is called being scared, similar to fear. Guys, this is Grayson experiencing a certain emotion for the very 1st time and actually understanding it. From here on, Dane will teach him about emotions.
— I was so f**g proud of Grayson 😭 Because even their colleagues who have known Dane longer would never rush inside a burning house to save Darling (they couldn't even go inside to save Grayson, a human) 'cause according to them, only people who are out of their mind can go in, So I'll fight anyone who says Grayson and Dane doesn't deserve each other. 😤
