They're basically enemies since Arcangels detest humans. The time they meet, Ichael didn't know who Shirone is. Anke Ra sealed her memories and powers but she has a soft spot for him maybe mother's instinct. Despite knowing they're enemies, she teaches Shirone how to use the halo to face the other Arcangels to save Amy, Tess and Arin from being impregnated. Ichael sided with Shirone in this fight.
