Dear friends, would any of you mind helping me understand whose POV is it in the first half and can you please explain what it means

@Simpforblcharacters the first half i the pov of ian. He has a new person that is under his command and this man is very optimistic, ian calls him almost innocent. Ian likes that about him and starts to admire his innocence like personality and his whole cheerful personality. Later on, this man becomes liek the other gang member; doing anything for money. Then there is the scene where this man holds the gun on ian, showing he had fallen into the darkness and emptiness ian struggles in. Ian has to kill the man to protect himself. Thats it!
