I'll be honest. I don't understand the impatience with this arc.
If it just focused on the egg, sure. I'd get it. But from this arc we learned about Dyne. Got Dyne/Rail confirmed. We're getting more development on Baro as well as having the foundations of Baro/Martu built up. We find out about a group of beastmen, against both Tildant and Fobal. We're learning about a different species and the way they worked. How the winged tribe actually selects their youngest to rule, and that the shell is made of what will become their wings.
And from what we recently learned, the winged tribe is going through the same thing the titans are going through. (Which I've been theorizing is a disconnection from their respective gods)
We find out more about Tildant, and see first hand Caius' responsibilities as king. And the tuburlance the council is going through. We see more of his family, including his siblings Naiad and Linus, his ailing father, and hints of the elusive Iris.
Through the prophet Sefal we see more about the kind of person is king is. And of course having that pairing be confirmed was a cute bonus.
And even if you don't care about any of that. We've been eating well when it comes to Caius/Kouichi fluff. This chapter right here is delivering! But besides that, we have their courtyard scene, the sleeping scene, the oil scene, the cat dress up, Kouichi giving Caius a very pleasant "good morning".
If after all that, the only thing you can say is "when will the egg hatch?!" then it sounds to me like you are suffering from destination fever. Enjoy the journey a bit.
Anyways, get hyped! Our next official update is on October 13th! (No clue when Jujucat will upload it here though)
