ngl in immortal x mortal trope, it's become a cliché atp that the immortal one WILL meet the mortal one when the latter would be a child. it comes off as weird to me bc as the other comments say, he literally preordered ahahah. and to think in the future they'll become intimate,, it's js weird to think about but ehhh I LOVE THEM 🎀
@tanny why is it weird when the immortal one developed feelings for the mortal one at legal age? He doesn't even remember. We should stop using moder standards when evaluating fantasy media.
@jackandhisbeanstalk in this case he doesn't recall anything but there are a lot of ships where the immortal one is seen "protecting" the mortal one as they grow. there's a lot of times where the mortal one themselves felt a longing for the immortal one when they were a mere child. and i agree that modern standards shouldn't be applicable to fantasy media but it's still a "bit weird", like a rush of emotions go thru me for just a split second. but they both are consensual in the future so it's alr, it's cute
