The character backgrounds being really complex and not one sided is really nice as often tunnel vidsioned characters can feel kinda one note but I really like the layers produced here by the author.
I'd like to see the Emperor die and the Empress become the new leader. I'd like to see the magic tower own up to their mistakes and fix things to be more inclusive.
I'd like to hope none of the main characters die but honestly it seems likely that Arcana or Morris might die in their back and forth conflicts and trying to do what's right, what they genuinely want and hopefully their friendship with Sigrid is strong enough not to get too clouded especially Morris I don't think Arcana will ever put his friendship with Sigrid away and I really like that.
I have 2 very special best friends who are men who I have been vest friends since Jr high and we've also had the same friends with my other group of girls and we're all grown getting married and these two join the girls in my wedding party as bridemen. In real life you can have really deep platonic friendships with people and it be nice if the story continues to give Sigrid these friendships on top of a healthy relationship that's a love interest. As she deserves it.
