Rion didn't kill her because the FL teaches her magic. The FL made the suggestion. They became friends. Rion and Ashtarte took forever to sort out their feelings and not be mad at each other. I think 5 years later they got married. I can't remember but it took a long time after this. There's also a "what if" side story after this. I don't remember hearing about kids either. Maybe the author will add it.
