I mean is it a thing? Like isn't it too fast ? This is the first session and he has to touch a doorknob? Well gradually, yeah. But Shouldn't they give some mental validation? Or something before they ask him to do that?

as a person with contamination OCD, my psychologist asked me to do the same thing. of course everything moves at the patient's pace. touching the doorknob was actually my number 7 😅.. anyway, it *should* move at the pace he is most comfortable with, while still pushing his boundaries.
