Guys both had abusive or alcoholic parents, so they both are mentally fighting.
Both the mc and the other guy have reasons
If you can't understand that, then try not to read ones with traumatizing stuff in it.
Or try contacting a therapist, ( I am the therapist kid, so I can understand quickly)
