That definitely didn't seem like manipulation to me, she pulled no string whatsoever. His hatred for non-shamans had already been festering for the longest time, she just helped him find the way/makee up his mind, which is to thin, or possibly rid the world of non-shamans alltogether.

Can't really blame him either, typical Anti-hero trope.

It's also because he keeps eating curses
