Ok I'm bored so I'll write this knowing that probably nobody will read it:
Personally I don't stand with Minho nor Wookyung. A lot of people that haven't read the main story support Minho just cause he looks completely innocent here, but let me tell you: he is not a "good" person and as innocent as he seems. He treated his gf like trash and never made her feel loved, for example he talked sh** about Duna's writing skills while he used to get inspired by her (if I remember that's what happened, I read it like a year ago). He also stole his friend's writings and presented it as his own novel. Not saying that he's a completely terrible individual, just trying to inform those who don't know. But still he doesn't deserve anything like physical or psychological abuse, not from his ex gf nor from Minho. So yeah he got it pretty shi*** but he also was shi*** and is realizing what kind of person he was while it's too late.
Regarding Wookyung I have quite a lot to say. Firstly he's an incomplete character, he has no backstory and no depth. He's a psycho that seems to have no empathy for his victim, a disgusting narcissistic rapist, a horrible character to make it short. But that's what I thought until a month ago, before I decided to reread it paying more attention to the story. What I got is that he's not a person without empathy at all neither only a flat obsessive psycho. He actually has feelings but is not able to recognise or understand them, neither express them in the way he wants...let's just turn back a couple of chapters and pay attention to the lines: "why did I do it? I can't believe I lost my temper like that. Even if hyung wants to leave why get mad? I already knew he wouldn't like me" (chap.21)

I was really doubting about the possibility that the author might give us his backstory, but I'm glad she did. Wookyung appears to be a lonely neglected child, one of those children who grew up with people having high expectations of them but didn't even get the love of their parents. Growing up without an example of how love is supposed to look like and how you should treat a loved one, of course you’d have a distorted image of how things are. Since he doesn't know how to act he proceeds to ra** and lock his victim cause it's the only way he thinks it's gonna make Minho stay. He corners him in his house cause he's well aware that Minho doesn't share the same feelings and never will ( REMINDER: MINHO IS STRAIGHT).
Other than that Wookyung is an extremely self reflecting character even if he doesn't seem at first glance: "But now to think he hates me, it makes me anxious"
"What do I do: force him to stay until there's only one of us left? Or be honest and wait for him to return my feelings?"
"Why am I scared?"
He's full of fear and anxiety, guilt and anger, obsession and love...he isn't able to manage and recognise all of these feelings he's experiencing all at once: "Why? Why am I scared? What does scared even mean?"
He learned since he was little how abbandonment feels, because of this he acted in the worse way he could've: keeping Minho with force, leaving him no way to escape.
It's wrong to say that he's not a caring person cause he actually wants to prove minho that he loves him and tries to be a better person : "I'll let him work as much as he wants. I'll suppost him and cheer him on, whatever he wants to do. I'll support him as much as I can..."
Lastly for all of those that say that there hasn't been any progress in the story or character developement, they haven't read the story in the right way. Cause there for sure is developement and noticeable changes in both characters especially Wookyung. Just try to think about it: at the beginning of the story he wouldn't even think of taking Minho out and didn't give a fu** of whatever he did or if he hurt himself, he just had to stay with him...recently thought he did take him out (twice) and started noticing how depressed he was and his heavy drinking. He definitely started being more careful and caring, and of course his feelings are continuously kept growing. If you go to the first s** scenes you can see that he only puts on a satisfactory-psycho kind of face, while in chap 22-23 you can see that his gaze is completely changed and his touch (yes it's still sort of aggressive at times) but it's way different from before. He is much worried now about Minho's wellbeing, even if it's not in the right way (he gives him joints instead of alcohol)...
With this I just wanted to say that you can't label a character as good or bad so easily without at least analysing it for a bit.
I DON'T WANNA JUSTIFY what Wookyung has done, his violence, the raping and psychological abuse, cause that can't be forgiven. His backstory isn't a justification for his behavior but the reason to why he is the man he's become. Minho did stupid and evil sh** in his past but he definitely doesn't deserve this treatment at all. I repeat I AM NOT DEFENDING WK.
Thanks to everyone that came this far reading this
Good day
Thanks for the all the paragraph, and I totally agree with you, Ik Minho is not a good guy, he's totally a mess too (even tho I don't read the main story, but i knew it from the first chapter in this story), but he's totally not deserve this, ra** isn't a joke, and I think it's gonna be more realistic if Minho decided to leave instead of choose to stay and fall in love w wookyung
I think ppl support Minho not bc they think he's good, but bc he was the least a** from all main og characters but despite that he went through so much more sh*t than any of them, while duna had her happy end
Yeah ik they definitely support him cause he's went through a looot of sh**, but the thing is that most of the people here haven't read the main story and I was just trying to give them a better view of the character...reading it for a second time though sounds like I was blaming him :/ that wasn't my intention
Too lazy to read all of these
There is so much wrong about your thoughts.
Reading the original work I hated Minho. He was legit the bad guy to me. His words and actions were so awful and his sense of entitlement was just UGHHHH. I hated him. This story... istg it turned me into "awe this poor baby" sooo quick.
I agree! I'm enjoying the journey of Wookyung's development in this story. I'm not supporting his abusive behaviour tho!
Wish i could see more of what Minho is thinking. I mean we can see how he feels about the situation based on what he said and how he acted, but is his act really reflecting how he thinks? Maybe yes if he is simple as wookyung described, but I feel like there should be more. Otherwise how will this story as a whole develop? The story is about two people. If one person remains unchanged, it's like you are multiplying the number by 0. Nothing will ever happen, and I don't know if this is what the author wants to show...
anyways all I wanted to say is that it's good to see the development of wk and want to see more from mh side!
