@Soda_can age gaps became an issue only in modern times. Political marriages have always had great age gaps and it was not that rare for one of the two to be very young. This is no different. He never thought of the union as a real marriage, but saw it for what it was and just bonded with his husband in a very pure way. ML was also infatuated with him in a very childlike way. They separated for years and now the dynamics of their marriage is changing. That's normal. I don't remember the exact age gap they had, but 10 yrs when it's 10vs20 is obv disgusting. 10 yrs when it's 20vs30 or 25vs35 is totally fine. Btw, in GOT Daenerys got married with Drogo when she was 13. He was like 30 and graped her for months in front of everyone before she found a way to change their dynamics. Now, THAT is disturbing, albeit realistic. I don't see any of that here. No pedo seggs, no sexualization of children, no grape, no unconsensual acts. History wise? In ancient Greece it old men would have seggs with boys. The relationship would stop when the child grew up and was at marriage age. He would marry a woman, have children, and when his children were grown he would find a boy to a have a relationship with. And so on. It was common practice. That's disgusting too, but it is not the case here. My point is, this could have been portrayed in a disturbing way too, as there are many examples in different type of artworks, in history and in present reality. It wasn't.

@Soda_can I don't think he's a pdfile tbh, it's not like he knows already that he is gonna be married to a kid and it's also not like he can decline or smthn also it's kinda like a sense of responsibility he's feeling..... though this is just my thoughts
