So I found this video and a comment explained how the alpha in this story is a special ghost alpha who can turn betas pregnant from knotting and the after effects cause the eyes to lighten and dilate, and i'm not positive about this, but the beta in this story is potentially a special diamond dust who may not be affected by the ghost alpha.

@read_racer diamond dust omega…what’s next? Green elphaba beta? This story is so creative and I love it but wtf 😭

@read_racer Lol you got it backwards.

1. He doesn’t turn betas pregnant by knotting, he turns betas into omegas.

2. MC is actually 100% affected by the ghost alpha especially because he’s a diamond dust. Diamond dust is a special type of beta that has pheromones only ghost alphas can smell and diamond dusts can only smell the ghost alphas pheromones. So that’s why they can smell each other even though MC is a beta.

So basically, diamond dust and Ghost are fated mates, so the changing (transformation from beta to omega) is even more effective for a diamond dust compared to regular betas.
