@Martha Elena Brenes Orozco It's not that the queen is targeting the Valtzer family for no reason. The problems are: 1. The Valtzer family is the king's right hand man. Whatever the king tells him, he obeys. Likewise, the king also supports the Valtzer family. The 1st queen has 2 daughters and the 2nd queen has 2 sons. Naturally the throne will go to the 2nd queen's son and the Valtzer family will support the 2nd queen and her sons. The 1st queen doesn't want that. The 1st queen's POV is since she didn't have the love of her husband, she'll have the throne. But the problem is the king won't allow that. So she's trying to isolate the king by eliminating the Valtzer family. So that there's no one strong enough left to protect the king. She then can kill the king and make her daughter the queen. 2. The reason she's trying to kill everyone except the FL's older brother is because she still needs the Valtzer family's power. She's trying to scout him because he's still young and easy to manipulate unlike the duke. She can groom him and shape him into however she wants. But she can't do that until FL's parents are alive. That's also why she's trying to kill everyone in the Valtzer family except the brother. Which is what we've seen in the 1st timeline. She turned the FL's brother into her loyal dog after taking him in when the entire Valtzer family was ruined after being accused of treason (which the 1st queen orchestrated.) 3. About the damaged crystal. In the 1st timeline: The queen likely knew and, perhaps also told her daughter to break the crystal because she had solidified her position and didn't need it. Or maybe she had gotten to know that in the 1st timeline the FL was ACTUALLY the Valtzer family's daughter. There was a chance that the FL's older brother would know the truth that the queen had stolen the FL's and many people's mana and was the one who ruined the Valtzer family and everything else. To eliminate the threat she orchestrated the whole drama of the damaged crystal and made her own brother send her to the guillotine's blade. And if the FL's brother ever even knew the truth, he wouldn't be able to do anything because HE was the one who killed his sister with his own hands.
