@Duck It would make sense though..
If this is a plan for creating a second Immortal King, then it is only logical that the Immortal King that is still existing wouldn't want that too happen.. Nobody in power wants that their replacement is already there with them, and even less so when said replacement strives for something completely opposite of what want..
