@KimberlyJPotter well no but yes... It's complicated. There's undertones but nothing explicitly romantic but there's also nothing heteronormative about the protagonist's relationships with some of these men. It's too extreme to be just a regular friendship but its also not explicitly romantic? The author kinda leaves it ambiguous at times if that makes sense.
