@Jajairus Yep.
Story time: My friend downloaded a game in which you can meet new people, and in that game, you can date, get engaged, and get married. In short, she met a guy, whom we can refer to as 'B'. So B and my friend talked for some time, only in-game and never in real life. After a while they dated in-game, not in real life, and got married in-game. The guy was nice, and she showed me their messages, which were not significant. But then she deleted the game, and I also forgot about it, but sometime later I downloaded and started playing that game. It was nice that you could dress up and more and place to talk to people and guess what? I found 'B' and talked to him out of curiosity and told him I knew my friend in real life, and then he started messaging me like crazy, like 'Where is she?' or he told me he gave his real-life number to her and was waiting. And in the end I showed her the message, and she told me to leave it, and then I also uninstalled the game and moved on. But your question made me remember it again, hehehe. And he was totally obsessed with her without even seeing her face or anything.
So, yes, people actually fall in love online.
