@Blackthorn_lp it took like 200 to 400 years for guns to be not just a more expensive and better crossbow. Which both by all measures where worse than bows, except for time required to train. Keep in mind that war bows have drawn wights of 130 or more, which means that they hit with like 90% of that force.
