From what I read(and I only got to chapter 70 of like 169), A lot more is going on than you can imagine! And Richard's fall to insanity that lead to memory loss in his previous regressions from 40-47(i think) wasn't caused only by his mental deterioration. Other elements unknown are linked to it.
So? I feel Richard and Caelus have a deeper history than shown already. Just my theory. And that either don't seem to remember. Until chapter 68 when the first introduction from both the manhwa/novel happens where Richard is in a robe on Caelus bed with flower petals happens. The potion he tried to drug him with illicited something more from Caleus than simply knocking him out like Richard had planned(sneaky guy). And hear me out!!! They actually spend the night together. Whole time Caelus was acting weird as if only he could remember something pleading for Richard to not leave him again and such. But by morning he didn't remember and thought Richard had deployed some trick on him, cause why else would he willingly sleep with the other?
So they both aren't straight? Maybe bi. But for now, Caelus seems to have liked Richard first in this regression. The guild member guy who gave it to Richard revealed that only if the other person harbors no emotion toward Richard will it have worked like a sleep drug where he could fabricate that they slept together. But! If the person does harbor emotion they will actually sleep together. Richard also could've left but weirdly(his words) he didn't! Once he saw Caleus tears' he got back in bed...there is no one giving really spoilers. this is what i found on reddit but yes, i think the FL died because she is villain here. i saw a comment ealier said it
