@Ajiood idk. It makes sense to me. Its like a water bottle with a crack(bond). It's always leaking a drop consistently (radiation guiding) but imagine someone drinking all but a few drops, those drops are still going to leak through the crack in the bottle, but once they're gone it's completely empty unless someone fills it up (down had a chance to heal)

@MrsDoodlebob i get the concept of radiation guidance and why it's draining, what I don't get is why being a bonded pair would make it harder for them to be together, like if u have to have such love for each other wouldn't it make sense that if the guide is weakened he would get strength from being around his other half and not vice versa if u catch my

@Ajiood oooh like you don't like that the author created this concept in this verse. Oh well that's a different conundrum I guess. Probably to give the story more time so they can't immediately be a happy couple together?
