me personally, i just see it as the top who's love language is physical touch and gift giving but also struggles with love a bit the way he wants to shower the bottom ( i genuinely forgot their names) with material things. the bottom might be struggling with trust and/or love as well due to how he came about in life, and with respects to money, i think he believes he needs to earn things he recieves even though the transaction is just love based. even if that love is emotionally absent.
