Red locust we're a weapon that grid the board use to make other kingdom floor submit to him. He originally test it on the rabbit kingdom and it works. However Aileen grand-father Kaiser saw the rapid infestation of the red locust as they pretty much eat anything they touch and put a stop to it temporary. Kaiser did suffer some injuries and lost a lot of mana in the process just eradication the infestation.
