Mc used to play this game in his world and he used to be the king of those winged people, he had a choice to fuse the winged people with some other race or smth and he chose "yes" (I'm not sure if he actually accepted or it was pressed on accident) but that fusing process really hurt the winged people a lot and apparently they hate him for it. When mc confessed to the Grand Duke, the Grand Duke replied with "I hate you" and that hurt mc a lot so he quit playing for a while, but the game suddenly shut down.
when the game got released again all the people got dragged into the game and had an aptitude test, those who failed became slaves ig and those who pass get a kingdom, amd since the game suddenly shut down all the Kings had their abilities reset. When Grand Duke knew the King/Mc had come back, he flew to him and dragged him back. Mc thinks the Grand Duke dragged him back to make him fuse and feel the pain like they did (to have half black and white wing)

The Grand Duke didn't reply with "I hate you" he replied with "I love you" but ig there was an error and when the Mc left, the Grand Duke thought he rejected his confession.
Also the people of the Kingdom actually still like Mc and still want him as their King cuz he always sacrifices himself for them. 🤧
