I don't really get how that helps since he's never trained to fight like that, and it's rather impractical. Also, why can't he use magic? Is it a body problem (dragon magic in a human body), is it a mana problem (a body that can't control/collect mana), or did his understanding of magic just evaporate? Speaking of his body, why did his hair color change? It's rather random.
