@PerpetuallyTired I think it's not a bad thing to be straightforward, either, with a rejection. To not allow the other to think there could be a chance if a response is vague or misleading.

A hard line for his boundaries is important, especially since they do work together.

@PerpetuallyTired differentiate being rude to being straightforward . yes , it will sound rude to those over sensitive people , but to those have great understandings , being straightforward is a good thing especially when it comes to romantic interest . If a person was hesitant to reject eventhough one does not find the confessor an interest , and too soft for words , then he might be misunderstood and clings to that hope that made them believe their feelings can be reciprocated . I don't think that's a good thing , making a person having false hope because one does not directly drop the bomb.
