@I might be delulu the author didn't want peoples opinions or perspectives to change on punpun based of his looks (when he grows up), if you search punpuns real face then you can see that he is actually really handsome. Because of this people have agreed on punpuns sick and twisted ways (you will see what happens in later chapters) which is what the author didn't want, so he doesn't specify on how punpun looks. sorry for the yap i'm trying to explain well 😭😭 but basically the author didn't want people to agree with punpun because of his handsomeness or like romanticise him which is saddly happening , it's gross
