Cause the stepmom married the dad for money and the dad had mc out of his marriage and since he didn't like stepmom's son he sent him abroad and made him live like he didn't exist while he brought mc to their home and the stepmom was really upset that she had to live with him so she tried to push him out of favor by ruining his reputation for years But seems like the grandpas and the dad are set on having mc as their successor so she just wants to yeet mc out and give everything to her own son even if it meant killing him though she's abit too extreme
