Even if he does realize that she's flirting with him she could still just be doing this to get closer. Imagine it. She becomes the mcs boyfriend but by doing so, indirectly becomes closer to the brother, since the brothers live in the same house. So she gets close to the brother while simultaneously being with the mc, she dumps mc, gets with brother. Right?

@Ryson It is possible to attempt this, but foolish. Only an idiot would want a guy who would accept that kind of betrayal of his own family.
The others use him to get closer, but make their intentions clear quickly for this reason. It's dishonest, but easier to save face/have plausible deniability than if a girl just straight up dates then dumps MC. That would be harder to act out, easier to mess up, and would make it more likely for MC's brother to reject rather than less.

@Wrantheim True, but it would be a little too meta for MC to think that way, haha. If he knows anything about her he can rule it less likely too.
