Ya know this reminds of 'it starts with a kingping account', in the sense that the mc also goes back in time and changes events and in return without actually knowing he also impacts his present, I wonder if these shadow arts infact not only show memories but also affect time and also inside these moments could the dungeon itself manipulate the past with what the mc is doing? Since memory was able to sense his teenage version, could the same be true once he finds the real her?

@Veil now that you mentioned it it has become a possible outcome. i also think this could be part of somthing bigger than just finding memory of the witch. it could be this is ecentially a game and the witch is part of the story line. by changing the story line you change the actual dungeon. this could be a game designed for player who actually goes against the normal way and maybe finds somthing else than what is being offered to him. it could be made for those who challenage the system and rules. the way everything is i think everything will change. and even if it doesnt we will find that out too.
