@JPANIME From my view, hes not doing anything horrible. Hes thinking about her future, sure she can stay with him and that could be nice, but she will never achieve her dream to be number 1. He knows that as well. Morie wouldve never agreed to him leaving the party, so this wouldve prob happened either way, even though it was pretty stupid not to discuss it. This story has more substance than a good amount of these stories, so its not the worst, its still a little bad tho in a few ways, so I cant totally disagree with you there, but its nice :/
