The empress can't use other people as sacrificial lamb for the curse? Like death penalty for some prisoners??? Why she has to transfer it to herself?

@JUST IGNORE ME. I think the empress transfered the curse after running out of the empire and since she was searching about the curse like we heard( the emperor said about how he found her dairy and how much she was researching about the curse was written)
So I just think the empress found this solution after she ran away and since she lived in a quiet place she probably couldn't find someone and therefore ,thought that transferring the curse to herself would the best option.

@dicks It also might be to transfer it to a blood relation was easy (but the Marquis was already dead), but to transfer it to a stranger took knowledge they didn't have.
@JUST IGNORE ME. MB also because she is not a black magician? like for her it is easier to transfer curse to herself than to other people because as a white magician she can't curse other people easily?
