I like but also dislike the civilization development towards gunpowder etc. It's a very logical approach for mortals... however there are gods that should bless and steer them to prosperity with their power and not just watch them fend for themselves while letting loose monsters and apostles when they feel the need for it.
Lakrak was blessed with superior power in his era but now it's all about apostles. Noone in this era seems to be blessed except priests that has the sole function of sitting in their temple waiting for g** to talk to them
