Okay so if you guys are confused (because I've read this before) he has a form of
DID (dissociative identity disorder) which means that he has like another personality or alter in him. Usually people who have DID get it from something traumatic happening when they are very young and their brain in response to the trauma freaks out and creates another personality to help themselves when they are in danger. (I can't exactly remember if that's the case for him because it's a fictional story but that's what it's like for most people who have it)
