Didn't they say that the father died around the same time she was put in the orphanage? So if she's 12 now (despite looking like an adult), the twins might be 9 now at most but they're way smaller than her. I understand she's probably just a sacrifice and I don't expect a 12 year old to catch on quickly but still.
