Okay, so to add to the comment I made on chapter 121.
It's clear from this that Follo has some kind of inferiority complex/imposter syndrome. It's clear that he liked this girl from his past and wanted to be closer to her. But in his eyes, she liked the other kid more cause he was brave and cool. Follo wants that. He wants to be seen as cool. And in his eyes, the cleaners are the coolest around. That explains even more why he freaked out at Rudo. His entire life, he's wanted to be seen as a cleaner. To be seen as cool. But when he couldn't become a cleaner, he instead chose to become a supporter. Only to find that supporters were treated like trash. It was like his childhood all over again. His friends being seen as cooler and braver then him while he's just a scaredy cat and an add on.
I also believe that either Tamzy fuc*** with his mind a bit using the book he stole from Regto (he did say he wanted kill someone to get closer to Rudo). OR. We know that wearing a part of the watchmen series is very bad for the average person. It's supposed to turn them insane. So Follo wearing the gloves for even a small bit was enough to mess with his mental and exaggerate the problems and insecurities that were already there. That's why when the trash beast attacked, he had a moment of clarity and finally snapped out of it. He realised his own faults and stopped blaming Rudo.
I gotta say. I really enjoy Follo's writing and hope he doesn't die. I would love to see his character progress and maybe even become a giver.
