Does justice exist? I am having a breakdown, my dad was killed in a robbery 10 years ago
he was the best father I could ask for and was taken from my mom, my two sisters and me
The killer is out now for good behaviour and what about my dad? The killer was sentenced to 16 years and he is getting away 6 years early. I do not give a sh** how he behaved in prison and how many lives he saved, what about my dad? Where is the justice for him? The justice system informed us as the victims the killer was being released and we can not do anything to make him spend his time in prison. Why does he get to be free when my dad is dead? Where is the justice for my dad? Fu** the system, legal justice does not exist

@Kyo I wish I could hunt that robber down and torture him he doesn't deserve to be out after taking away an innocent life from their family
@Kyo justice is relative, for everything to be equal it would have to be an eye for an eye (talion). If your father died, justice for you would be to see the murderer dead too. But what about serial killers? For there to be justice they would have to die many times, like bringing him back to life and killing them over and over again. So I get not feeling okay with the sentence, 16 years when they took away your father and they even took 6 years away from the sentence, it's like the legal system is a joke. Anyways, there is no such thing as justice, even if they give you the highest sentence wouldn't be enough because you lost your beloved person, there is no sentence that can make you feel justice was served unless you can see the murderer die, but again it is the eye for eye, world will go blind. The idea of lower punishments is to learn that people "can change". The legal system is not suppossed to only punish, it has to rehabilitate the criminals. The whole purpose of prison is to rehabilitate, whether it can be done or not is up to your thinking, but good conduct means they are on their way to rehabilitation. To me they cannot be rehabilitated, once a murderer, always a murderer. But laws say they can change and we simple citizens cannot go against laws.
@Serendipity you get me
Before losing my dad thought bad people could change, now I hate everyone and hate myself for thinking this way too
No killing Is giving my dad back, justice? what is justice? you said it is relative, i think nothing will give my dad back

@Kyo I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can’t claim to fully understand the depth of your pain, but I truly feel for you. It’s frustrating and unfair how the justice system can sometimes be twisted — the law can be used in ways that don’t always reflect what’s right or just. And I know nothing will ever bring your dad back, and that makes the injustice feel even heavier. It's awful that someone who caused so much pain can just walk free. But I hope that over time, you’re able to find peace — not because any of this was okay, but because you deserve a life free from being weighed down by what others have done. Your dad would want that for you, too.

Cheering for you love, always :)

@Kyo the only justice ive ever seen was when people take matters in to their own hands.
You arenot going to see a prison or court give justice to a murderer in most cases.
