@Cid Lunius surprisingly no. much like how hero is a class, Demon Lord is also a class. it was mentioned in the "character setup" chapter in the novel. and reaffirmed in the young child arc. basically everything this manga skipped over.

@CJ Krueger Pretty sure it was "said" in the manga, too... Or at least I understood it that way while still being a manga-only reader (so far)
