@BL for life the whole scene is supposed to be weird and uncomfortable. A mother kissing her son on the lips is grooming and predatory behavior hello? I fear that is the point of this manga? At least in a way it is (I haven’t finished reading)

@Rea it absolutely is especially in context for this story. I agree at a certain age it’s normal for children and parents to kiss on the lips I’m not going to have input on that, but when you reach a certain age it’s a bit odd and especially with context of this story applied, it’s not okay at all
@GayPoniesDance no you’re stupid asf again in a lot of countries it’s common to kiss your parents on the lips even when you’re 20. There’s nothing sexual about this. Perhaps the reason why it’s a detail, is to show that the mother views her son as small and innocent like a baby. Not because she’s attracted to him or because this is predatory tf She infantilizes him so he relies on his mother more, but that shows in other controlling actions as well. Nothing to do with predators.
@Rea not all grooming is sexual behavior grooming can simply be manipulation, or anything that falls into the lines of manipulating a child. I think we’re just gonna have different opinions on this and that fine I think it’s interesting the way you interpret the story! We both are fans of it and I don’t think arguing really matters atp.
