@morglein What we saw was from the perspective of a child, children usually have memories like that where they put a lot of weight on certain memories, since he was locked in his room and his parents were afraid of hurting him by interacting with him a child could have very well misunderstood what was happening and blamed everything on his parents and let's not forget all the accumulated trauma of killing people especially in a brutal manner to survive for 8 years he needed someone to direct all that towards and it ended up being the parents whom he blamed for his situationi am not saying that the parents aren't completely without any fault they could have definitely communicated better but they didn't which tbh is very common irl than you think, the parents not communicating part not the trapping children in a room because he is sick and not meeting him at all
