@STRAY KIDS ALL AROUND THE WORLD I totally get what you mean, but at the same time they're foils for eachother's innate character, yknow? Like they're written to be polar opposites. Where the Top struggles with understanding intricacies in social dynamics and relationships, the bottom struggles with seeing PAST the social dynamics. The top's character arc is less gaining empathy and more developing an understanding of emotions he HAS but doesn't know how to process, while also learning what the inner machinations to relationships are via checks and balances. The bottoms character arc is more learning to be proud of who he is as a person and understanding he's not lesser for his sexuality. It's a much more subdued arc for the bottom who already functions in society, but he's also working through teaching the top who has 0 understanding of his needs of privacy while also trying preserve his own safety bubble. Most of their discourse comes from the top not understanding the safety bubble and the bottom feeling incredibly threatened about changes and how he will be perceived. Idk I think it's a little irritating how the bottom approaches the tops disorder, but I also sort of get why it was written that way. The only thing they really had in common is their interest in men, so its a huge process with many changes^^
