A spoiler when Tessetan realizing he fought a babytrollface sticker

He saw his father and brother's cozy moment with Tie that day so he investigated his Captain's true identity. He even kidnapped and threatened a new member of Agavert to know the secret but ofc he can't tell because of the oath from Tie's bracelet. So he decided to ask Tie directly.

That night, he went to Astier's bedroom through the window and asked her. Initially, Tie didn't want to tell the truth. But Tessetan used the 'guilt tactic' on Tie telling her that he understands that she doesn't trust him even though he is the vice captain (because all 15 new members, even the headmaid knew, only Travega did not know her identity. But the bracelet were used on those who know, for safety).
 
So the child gave in and honestly said the reason for not telling Travega is because she thought Tessetan would leave Agavert if he knows her secret. So he reassured her he won't leave.
I like to post spoilers for the stories I find interesting because I don't have much time to read novel due to busy schedule you will find me in most romantic historical manhwa comment sections

He was really expecting that Tie would grow large and turn into an old guy but what he heard was:
 
"I'm just a child.
I didn't use a disguise, I'm really just a 4y.o baby.
*cries* Actually, i came to the capital to find my dad. But i suddenly became a powerful mage. They said that because of my powers, the Order will take me, and people will use me. That's why Granpa Nordix, Oppa Veil & Uncle Vasto helped me by making it look like i am old & powerful. If the Order finds out, it'll be a problem for me."
 
Tessatan, stunned, recalled all that he said & did, and all that he noticed that seemed off. He laughed, slowly got up from his seat, went out of the Tie's door, ignored the angry Veil who called him out asking why he came from Tie's room, then returned to his house, still dazed. At Trevaga's base, he banged his head on the first wall he saw. And would hit it again if not for Livia and Aleric who stopped him because there was a crack on the wall 😭😭 He plopped on the seat then recalled again what Tie said. He now realized that Valentis is helping Tie even if it meant going against the Order & Emperor. Because Valentis saw the resemblance with Tie's situation and his childhood tragedy. If Tessetan was being honest, it's not like he did not notice the clues. Since during the duel, seeing Agavert's and Luminens actions, concerns and reactions towards Tie, even Tie's speech, actions and treatment/consideration towards him, he noticed something was off. And maybe deep down he already had a hunch.

Because he was really cautious and skeptical, and the rumors that he's a cunning/crazy old man, he ignored those clues. Livia & Aleric were really worried about him but Tessetan is really deep into his thoughts, ignored them and stumbled his way up to his room.

During his time, he's properly processing the facts like, how powerful Tie is and how she really is in danger if the Order caught her because she even stopped his mana rampage which his mother, the strongest Saintess, failed to do. And that Agavert's efforts into hiding her identity made so much sense. Then through his window, he saw how the headmaid lovingly put Tie to bed.
He cursed realizing again that Tie is really just a child. He even recalled her line 'i came to find my dad' and he remembered the moment at the port where he saw Tie crying calling him Dad.
He thinks it's impossible she's his child because he haven't properly slept with a woman. So he thought Tie mistook him for her dad. Like maybe he resembled him. So he thought that is the reason why the child likes him and why she stare at his face and sticks to side at any chance possible. That night, he sat on the floor curled up and didn't sleep a wink.

The next day, he heard Tie visiting again. She did not look for him and sounded a bit gloomy. Tie didn't went inside and left after a few words with Livia. So Tessetan checked on her through his window and saw that she was somehow limping. Then when he checked outside, he realized that the fence Tie usually climbs to visit them is now leaning on one side. He glared at it like he's gonna kill it then angrily tore the fence down 😆😆 Tie and Veil noticed him and asked why he removed them. He just said it's an eyesore. And when Veil got mad, Tessetan pointed out Tie's ankle so Veil told him to pull everything out 😂😂 When the 2 left, Tessetan recalled the bandage on Tie's ankle and thought if it's enough? Still mad and uncomfortable, he thought that the bandage should have at least covered unti the belly button 😂 Then resumed to take down the fence.
